Our story
How Halberd & Sons came to be.
A family-run bathroom and kitchen renovation firm in Walthamstow since 2013. Run by Mark Halberd alongside his son Jamie and a small core team of five trades. We take eight active projects at any time across East London, with the founder still on every site weekly. Trustmark-verified, fully insured, never the cheapest — never the most expensive, either.
Mark Halberdstarted out as a plumber’s mate in 2002 — Gas Safe by 2006, his own firm by 2013 after a stint running site for a bigger renovation company. His son Jamie joined as project manager in 2019 after finishing his carpentry NVQ; between them they run scheduling, quoting and customer comms.
We’ve done over 200 jobs since 2013 across East London — bathrooms, kitchens, side-returns and loft conversions, plus the small jobs we never stop doing for past customers. Most of our work comes from referrals; the rest from people who’ve seen the work next door and rung the number.
